Elvellon Elf Friend
It is a term used to describe one dear to the Eldar or related to them as well as to warriors of old threw heritage. Examples
Gimli Gloin's son
Aragorn
Turin
and Berrin
Turin, Berrin, and Gimli are all elf friends who are just friends of elves but Aragorn and as it is explained in the Hobbit Elrond are both related to men and elves
I drew this view from the Hobbit Radio drama so the assumption that elf friends extends to the Dunidain and the Half Elven may be incorrect but we can be sure that the half elven are at the ver least as implied from there title friends or related to the Eldar or Ivari. The Dunidain are also friends with elves and so they are perhaps considered Elf Friends. The Sindarin term Elvellon witch means elf Friend was likely derived when the Sindar first made alliances with the Edain. More can not be said on this matter
