The flame of Udun
Of old the flame of Udun was the Balrog of Moria who Gandalf slew on the peakof the red Horn. Udun was once another name for utumno Morgoth's first fortress in the days before the wars of balariend First Age.
On Sauron during the First Age
For those who are new to reading the Silm it is important to note that sauron was Mellkor's second in command, Morgoth's prize follower who was as we all know just as bad as Morgoth himself though perhaps a little less so acording to Prof Olsen who I aggree with who sugests that Sauron serving another at first and not himself was kind of better then Sauron ruling alone beant on only what he needed or wanted to do. Sauron had a lot to do during the reign of Mellkor. he even faught with our good two friends Luthian and Berin along with their friend Huwan the Hound. It was Sauron's werewolf who slew Feligund of nargothrond.
On Mellon
Mellon is the Sindarin word for Friend
It was the one word which could open the doors of Moria in the Fellowship of the ring and so can be at least dated to use during the second age when the doors we see in FOTR were made. But being a Sindarin word I can safely say I think that the word Mellon dates back to the dawn of time itself beside the shores of Quavenin or at least to some time during the first age.

The road hast been long and dangerous to say the least but I'm back with more info for those interested.
First, I wish to proclaim the good tidings that our good friend Peter Jackson has made new progress on the Hobbit and filming is under way as all of you likely know by now,b but of that seen he was last working on I may have some answer an answer perhaps beyond thy foresight as of yet. On Jacksons' video blog placed on Youtube not so long ago my crebain inform me that there was seen the setting of many caves sugesting that Jackson is starting with the Riddles In the Dark Chapter. A risky though understandible move for our friend of the furry feet. Also, II have finally found a coppy of Williams reading of the Hobbit from Argo Records, thank you Justine Delgroso your kindness and shared passion for cool outdated obscure momentos is a relief on to all friends of tolkien. new support on twitter has allowed my work to at least get some recognition which is once again a real relief since only about three or four people at this time have even read a sentence of my stuff. Hopefully we mayfind more who like my writings. If your a new member to my page please read what you can and spread the word. I need more supporters. Finally or at least finnaly for now that is, I wish to inform you all that an audeo adaption is being made by one or two friends of mine of Path of wisdom a tale composed from my head alone though based enevedibly in the works of Tolkien or szhould I say inspired from the writings of our beloved professor. Anyway thats all for now guys, hope you all find this intertaining. I will bring to the table even more facts later but I thought I would just give you an update. thanks

Greetings from a Distant Journey
Yes I hath returned at the turn of the tide. One stage of Tolkien analyses is over, another begins. we must stand or fall in our resolve to keep our feet else the road sweep us to the lonely mountain. We shall go back and there again.
